ORNAMENT — a space for love of one’s own
ORNAMENT was born in 2014, at a time when people began to rethink their roots and traditions. Embroidery was experiencing a revival, and new local ethnic brands were emerging. That’s when the idea arose to create a space where Ukrainian artisans and designers could be heard, and their creations valued not only for beauty but also for meaning, history, and authenticity.
We don’t make the products ourselves, but we carefully select brands and artisans from across Ukraine who create with purpose, love, and respect for culture. Every item in our space combines traditional symbolism with contemporary design: from Podillia roses and Hutsul geometry to Slobozhansky crosses and oak leaves from Volhynia. Each ornament is the voice of its region, a melody we preserve and pass on.
Yet, we are open to the new. Our collections bring tradition together with technology. Some ornaments are created digitally: hand-drawn on tablets, transferred to digital print, and then brought to life on fabrics, accessories, or decor items. In this way, modern tools become a continuation of ancient craftsmanship, where meaning and form unite as one.
We believe in conscious consumption: only natural fabrics, handcrafted or small-batch production, care for people, nature, and craft. We support sustainable fashion - where depth matters more than quantity. Our selections are not about trends but about feeling, meaning, and the presence of time in every piece, where each stitch and ornament tells its own story.
