Cookie Policy of the Ornament Online Store

This Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used by the website of the Ornament online store (owner - Individual Entrepreneur (FOP) Alla Yuriivna Vasylenko, contact: brandpolicy@ornament.in.ua), why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone). They help the website "remember" you: your cart contents, account login, language preferences - and allow us to understand how visitors use the website and show relevant advertising. In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies - pixels and browser local storage; for simplicity, all of these are referred to as "cookies" below.

2. Which cookies we use

Essential (technical). The website cannot function without them: they support the cart, checkout, account login, and payment security. These cookies are set by our store platform (Shopify) and payment providers. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off via the banner.

Analytics. These help us understand how visitors use the website: which pages are popular, where customers come from, at which step difficulties arise. We use Google Analytics (Google LLC). Data is collected in aggregated form. Enabled only with your consent.

Marketing (advertising). These allow us to show you our advertising on other platforms and measure its effectiveness. We use:

  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) - advertising on Facebook and Instagram;

  • Google Ads / remarketing (Google LLC) - advertising in Google search and on partner websites. These cookies are enabled only with your consent.

Google and Meta may process the collected data on servers outside Ukraine, including in the USA. Transfers are carried out on the basis of recognised data protection safeguards (see section 5 of the Privacy Policy for details).

3. Retention periods

Technical cookies usually last for the session or up to a few days. Analytics and marketing cookies may be stored from a few hours up to 24 months - the specific periods are set by the respective services. When the period expires, the cookie is deleted automatically; you can also delete cookies manually at any time (section 4).

4. How to manage cookies

Consent banner. On your first visit to the website you see a banner where you can accept all cookies, decline the optional ones, or customise the categories as you wish. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of the website.

Browser settings. You can delete stored cookies and block them in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge - see each browser's help pages for instructions). Please note: if you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout may not work.

Service settings. Additionally, you can:

  • disable Google ad personalisation: adssettings.google.com;

  • install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout;

  • manage Meta advertising preferences: in your Facebook/Instagram account settings ("Ad Preferences").

5. Changes to this Policy

We update this Policy when we change the set of services on the website or when required by law. The current version with the version date is always available on this page.
